Report on a ankle pain by contusion treated with acupuncture

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of acupuncture and taping therapy on ankle joint pain by bruise.
Methods : A 37-year-old female had been given 4 treatments using acupuncture of Dong-Ssi and Sa-Am as well as taping (Chimsband). Improvement was evaluated with the Visual Analog Scale.
Result : After treatments, the Visual Analog Scale was improved from 7 to 2 and the finger pressure pain was decreased markedly.
Conclusion : This study shows that the acupuncture and taping therapy is effective on ankle joint pain by bruise.
